The 'Stache

You may think that this is a guy who has given in to the southern Texas way of life and has since changed his name to El Guapo.

That's only partly true - sorta the first part.

Here at the Kingsville Naval Air Station, Brian has reached the point in the program where guys grow out a moustache in preparation of going to the boat for carrier qualifications. In 3 or 4 weeks Brian will land a T-45 on a carrier which, after all, is ultimately the lynch pin of his career - no pressure. The tradition goes that once the guys complete their required number of take offs and landings they can get rid of those awesome moustaches. This means that aside from the shear enjoyment of landing a jet upon a moving vessel, they get to stop looking like scary hobos.

sooo Just so you know, Brian isn't trying to bring the 'stache back...or have his own pet catapiller under his nose. He's learning to fly.
